Philosophical Café

The Philosophical Café is a public gathering open to everyone, where participants become philosophers themselves through collective thinking. The goal of these sessions is human connection rather than the transfer of philosophical or historical knowledge. During these discussions, where I act as a moderator to guide the process, we explore a specific concept or question from various angles.

The Philosophical Café is a space for free philosophizing and collective thinking that originated in Paris in the 1900s. French philosopher Marc Sautet began organizing regular philosophical events in public cafes with the aim of 'returning' philosophy to the people. The movement soon spread worldwide and has now established a tradition in Hungary as well.

“The message of the Philosophical Café is to liberate philosophy from the closed world of universities and academic research institutes, and give it back to the people.” – László Nemes

The Philosophical Café....

No prior background in philosophy is required to participate. I warmly welcome everyone who would like to experience the power of collective thinking and broaden their horizons.
