Biography

Csonka Liberta philosopher, founder of the EB OVO Public Benefit Association, mother of two boys. As a practitioner of philosophical practice, he regularly runs a philosophical coffee house throughout the country, in Alsógöd and Budapest. Since 2022, it has also appeared as part of the Valley of the Arts Festival. As an invited speaker, he also gave a lecture at MOME’s Doctoral School, ELTE’s Human-Environmental Transaction Institute. In January 2025, he was able to present his philosophical thesis to a professional audience at the ABO Akademi University in Finland. He is currently teaching in Hungarian and English at the Faculty of Cultural Studies, Pedagogy and Rural Development of the University of Pécs.

Human-animal dichotomy plays a prominent role in his lectures, which, according to duality, gives rise to the solution of fixed thinking schemes and inspiration. His research area is human-animal relationships, the title of his dissertation is: “The place of the animal in philosophy: the outlines of a practical philosophy”. Within the framework of the EB OVO Association, for 10 years it dealt with the representation of the interests of responsible dog owners, during which time it monitored the behavior of dogs, but especially their owners. He considers urban dog keeping to be an ideal mirror for formulating general trends in relation to human nature. That is why it can be an excellent source of our development. Closing the interest representation work, he chose the scientific career as a reflection on his experience.

Another area of his research is philosophical practice, philosophy as a way of life, life art (ars vitae), where he managed to acquire outstanding international relations. At his invitation, the American philosopher Lou Marinoff visited Budapest and undertook the professional management of the five-day program series. At the World Congress of Philosophy in Rome, he was a member of the 13-member delegation of the PTE Doctoral School of Philosophy. In 2023 and 2025, he participated in the Conference of International Philosophical Advisors in Timișoara and Zagreb (ICPP 2023, 2025).

As a member of the Philosophical Café Movement, he regularly organizes events outside the academic framework. Within the framework of his philosophical practice, he also deals with philosophical counseling. His express intention is for philosophy and contemporary philosophers to be more visible and accessible to a larger audience.

Artistic self-expression in the 21st century. the recognition of its 20th century forms is another central question of his philosophical research, the answering of a question can also be read from the development of his philosophical and artistic career.
