philosophy coffee house

The Philosophical Café is a public gathering that can be visited by anyone, where the participants become philosophers themselves through joint thinking. The purpose of these occasions is human coexistence rather than the transfer of any kind of philosophical or philosophical historical knowledge. In the conversations where I help the process as a moderator, we go around a particular concept or question.

The Philosophical Café is a space for free philosophizing and community thinking, which started in Paris in the 90s. French philosopher Marc Sautet began to organize regular philosophical events in public cafes, with the aim of “returning” philosophy to people. The movement will soon spread worldwide, and it now has a tradition in Hungary as well.

“A message from the Philosophical Café to free the philosophy from the closed world of universities and academic research institutes and let’s give it back that to people.” László Noble

The Philosophical Café...

Philosophical training is not required for participation. I welcome everyone who would like to experience the power of thinking together and broaden their horizons.
